Case study
Summit Nephrology
A specialty kidney care practice in the Sierra foothills, with offices in Roseville and Auburn. Patients and referring doctors come to the site with plain questions: who will I see, where do I go, do you take my insurance, what should I bring? Summit was our very first client, and we still look after their site.

What they needed
The answers patients look for, before they call.
A medical site is read by people who are worried or busy, or both. They need to find a provider, an office, an insurance answer or a form, quickly and without medical jargon in the way.
Referring doctors need something else: when to refer. The site had to serve both without turning into a maze.

What we built
A deep medical site, organized around the questions patients ask first.
This year we moved Summit onto our current platform, our own upgrade. Their provider pages, forms and practice information came across with it.

01
Where to go, and what is covered
Both offices, the hospitals the practice serves and its dialysis centers are listed together, so patients know where care happens.
The insurance plans the practice accepts are listed in full, with a plain note for anyone who is not covered.

02
Paperwork before the visit
The patient intake packet is in the main menu as a download, so new patients can fill it in before they arrive.
Referring doctors get a section of their own on when to refer.

03
Every provider, one tap away
Physicians, the physician assistant, the nurse practitioner and the dietitian each have a page with a photo and a full biography.
On a phone, Meet our providers and Find an office are the first two buttons on the home page. When a new provider joins, the practice sends us the bio and photo and we add the page.
How we run it now
They send a bio. We do the rest.
Summit is busy treating patients, so they keep the website hands-off. When something changes, they send it over and we take it from there. A few of the requests we have handled:
“Add our new doctor, with a photo and bio.”
“Update one of our providers' biographies.”
“Make the patient intake packet easy to find.”
What it means for the practice
A website the front desk can point to.
Answers on the site
Offices, phone numbers, insurance and forms are all there for patients to find.
Up to date provider list
New providers go up when they join, with a proper biography.
Hands-off for the practice
They send the change. We make it and check it.
