Case study
Dono dal Cielo
A family estate winery in Newcastle with live music most weekends, food trucks, a two-level wine club and a list of guests who like a text when something is on. We built their WordPress site and have run it since, and this summer we moved it onto our current platform. We keep the calendar, hours and texts current, usually the same day they ask.

With us since 2020
We built it, we run it, and this summer we rebuilt it.
We built Dono dal Cielo's WordPress site and have looked after it since: the pages, the event calendar and the changes the winery sends in.
This summer we moved it onto our current platform. That was our own upgrade, not a fresh start for them. Their words, wines, photos and event calendar came across with it.
What we built
The same winery, on a site that takes care of itself.
Their words, wines and photos stayed. What changed is everything behind them.

01
A calendar that clears itself
Every date is its own page with the act, the food truck, the hours and the house food policy for that day.
Guests can filter by live music, food trucks, special events or winery hours. Each night the site rebuilds itself, so yesterday's show is gone by morning and nobody has to remember to take it down.

02
The wine club, front and centre
Both club levels, “I Dono” and “Dono-Addicted”, sit side by side with what each one includes.
Joining and buying wine go straight to OrderPort, the system the winery already uses for its sales, so there is nothing new for their team to learn.

03
Text updates guests ask for
At the winery's request we built a text sign-up of their own, on their own site, in place of a pop-up from another service. Guests enter their date of birth, then their mobile number, agree to texts, and reply YES to a confirmation text to finish joining.
STOP and HELP work, and the text terms and privacy pages sit on the site. When a guest replies to a text, the reply goes straight to the winery.
How we run it now
They email us. It goes live the same day.
The winery tells us what they need in their own words. We make the change, check it on a preview, then put it live on donodalcielo.com, usually the same day. A few recent requests:
“Swap the food trucks on two upcoming dates.”
Live the same day
“Add a new First Friday night with live music, and put up its flyer.”
Live the same day
“Add a flower workshop to the calendar, with its ticket link.”
Live the same day
Fall hours, everywhere at once
New hours went onto every page and every calendar date together, timed to go live after the Friday close.
Texts on their word
They tell us what to say and when. We set it up and send it to the guests who signed up.
Found in search
Every event page tells search engines its date, time and place, alongside the winery's address and opening hours.
What it means for the winery
Less time on the website, more time in the tasting room.
One place that is always right
Hours, the calendar, the club and the text sign-up all agree, and past dates never linger.
Changes the same day
Calendar changes they send are usually live the same day, checked on a preview first.
A text list of their own
Guests join on the winery's own site, confirm by text and can stop any time. Replies go to the winery.
